A native of Toronto, David Baker made his way to the South where he received his architectural degree from Auburn University. For over two decades David was mentored by Bobby McAlpine, eventually becoming Bobby's business partner at McAlpine. During this time, David's projects were published in the pages of Architectural Digest, Traditional Home, Coastal Living, Southern Home, Veranda, Houses with Charm, and Southern Living: 50 years, among other periodicals. In April 2018, David formed, through friendship and a desire to create beautiful, inhabitable spaces with previous McAlpine partners Chris Tippett and John Sease, a new architecture firm: Tippett Sease Baker Architecture.
